December in Italy

It was the last Sunday of the month and we were expecting a free entry, but not lines like this... it led to the sisteen chapel.

We decided to make our way to the castle...

The name escapes me, I'm already in Venice trying to remember what I did 4 days ago. update - Castel Saint Angelo, there were some photos of it's exterior on an earlier day.

We thought it'd be a good idea to rent an audio tour. It didn't work out as we initially planned.

Cannon balls made of marble.

Maybe they weren't connon balls, but ammo for this giant slingshot.

From one of the higher levels of the castle, a view of the "Pont St. Angello".

A view from the top.

The statue at the highest point of Saint Angelo, maybe it's Saint Angelo himself?

On the way back, we came across this dog with his owner passed out nearby.

It was around 3:00 pm, so we figured he was just taking a siesta. Blaring traffic and all. He had remnants of a chocolate filled croisant on his mouth.

Like italian dudes, italian animals also love american girls.

On the train home, I came across this woman whom I've heard frequents this particular stop. She cauight me taking photos of her...

And gave me devil horns. I returned METAL and moved on.
